About the Author

Christof-Andreas Lindenberg was born in 1932 in Berlin and grew up in Munich during the Nazi era with anthroposophic parents who opposed the regime. His father, a priest in The Christian Community, held a doctorate in Music, and Christof-Andreas enjoyed a musical upbringing, learning all the basics in a somewhat playful way. He began composing during early childhood and intended to study music, but he was encouraged to study special education with Karl König, which became his life vocation within the Camphill community and eventually became a music therapist and instructor and co-founder of the Independent Music School in Europe. In 2001, he and his wife Norma, with two colleagues, founded the Dorian School of Music Therapy in North America, while also lecturing in Europe. Christof-Andreas has composed mainly choral settings for festivals and music for lyre and ensemble work. His published music includes two song books and articles on music therapy.
