The Knottles sing and dance with the children&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Remember the pine trees, how they grow,<br \/>\nIn the summer, in the snow,<br \/>\nRemember the pine trees, root in stone,<br \/>\nTwig and limb, seed and cone,<br \/>\nAnd a golden heart in every tree,<br \/>\nGiving people wood for free.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>When the children wake up in the morning, they are inspired to plant pine tree seedlings with their parents, and they promise to take good care of all their trees for evermore.<\/p>\n<p>A portion of the proceeds from this book supports the international charity &#8220;A Million Trees&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the Author<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nancy Mellon<\/strong>\u00a0has guided storytelling and writing groups for many years. A former Waldorf teacher, she has given storytelling and art therapeutic courses at many locations in the US and UK. Her books include\u00a0<i>Storytelling with Children<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>The Art of Imagination<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ruth Lieberherr<\/strong>\u00a0has exhibited her paintings at M.I.T., Princeton University, and Northeastern University, as well as museums and galleries in the United States, France, and her native Switzerland. Her works are found in many private collections.
