About the Author
Elizabeth Auer is a Waldorf graduate herself with over two decades of class teaching and manual arts teaching experience. She successfully accomplishes sharing her years in the Waldorf school with teachers everywhere in classrooms, public workshops and in home settings. The joys and benefits of integrating arts into academic learning are reflected in her wealth of practical advice and hands-on experience. Elizabeth lives with her husband in a little house in the big woods of the Monadnock region in Southern New Hampshire. She is the author and illustrator of Creative Pathways: Activities that Strengthen the Child’s Cognitive Forces, a manual on the practical arts for Waldorf teachers. With a background in design and illustration, she has also illustrated several books including Arthur Auer’s Learning about the World through Modeling, a children’s book, Dance of the Elves, the “Stella Natura Biodynamic Agriculture Calendar” and the Waldorf Community Cookbook. Having graduates her eighth grade Waldorf class in 2011, Elizabeth currently works as an adjunct faculty member at Antioch University New England and as a freelance artist. She teaches workshops in the arts and is a consultant to Waldorf and other teachers.
