This thought-provoking book focuses on the reality of the spiritual world as the source of human life and at the same time confronts questions about the purpose of human existence. The authors put forth their views on such fascinating topics such as reincarnation and Christianity, the mission of evil, the role of fear, consequences of suicide, the nature of human conscience, the foundation of human relationships, the meaning of sexual desire, clairvoyance and channelers, inner development, karma, and the cosmic significance of the earth’s evolution.

About the Author

Robert Van Santen, witnessed the Nazi occupation of his homeland. Later while heading his own electronics sales company, organizing the Beatles’ tour of Holland, received international acclaim as a master portrait photographer, and published Herinnering (an autobiographical account of the war years), he found himself struggling to understand the countless inhuman consequences of World War II. This led him to the spiritual philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, Anthroposophy. In 1980 he emigrated to Los Angeles where he began teaching, lecturing and writing on a wide range of anthroposophical subjects.

Marguerite Miller, holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in German Literature from the University of Michigan, In 1987 and 1988 she founded and served as editor of the Directory of Initiatives of the Anthroposophical Society of America. Her own pursuit of spiritual questions together with her literary and editorial experience led to her co-authorship of Memories of the Future.
