WHAT ARE DROP SHIPMENTS
Drop shipments are an excellent way to support both your local bookstore and your favorite Publisher.
Because most small bookstores cannot afford to hold all the book inventory publishers provide, drop shipment is an excellent way to carry everything without the financial burden on the retailer and helps the Publisher extend their awareness into more local communities.
Drop shipment has some limitations along with its benefits that you should be aware of before purchasing. Please read the following for your type of shipping method.
DROPSHIP BOOKS are not guaranteed to be available. In the event that a book is not available through the publisher we will make every effort to acquire the book from other sources for you or let you know when it will be available again through the Publisher. If no copy of the book can be found we will refund you purchase.
ALL DROPSHIP BOOKS are sent via USPS MEDIA MAIL – no exceptions.
ONLY RSBS INVENTORIED BOOKS or books sent from RSBS will be sent via customer selected shipping method. PLEASE SEE DROP SHIPMENT ZONES BELOW.
U.S. DOMESTIC DROP SHIPMENT
Orders may contain both in-store books and drop-ship books. These orders will be shipped separately. Part of the order will be shipped from Rudolf Steiner Bookstore and the other from the publisher. This split order will be marked on your order receipt when received.
- Drop shipments may take 2-3 days before being shipped from the Publisher.
- The shipping method will be USPS Media Mail. No other shipping method is available.
CANADIAN DROP SHIPMENT
Drop Ship books for Canadian customers will be shipped from Rudolf Steiner Bookstore with the shipping method paid for by the customer.
- Books ordered that are indicated as drop shipments will take between 5-10 days to ship.
- Canadian Duties and Taxes, should there be any, will be paid by the customer upon arrival.
- There is NO GUARANTEE THAT YOUR ORDER WILL ARRIVE IN A TIMELY MANNER.
- First Class International is the least expensive with the longest arrival time.
- Priority USPS or UPS will be faster, but there is no guarantee that it will be.
- Priority Express, the most expensive, would be the fastest, but again there is no guarantee that it will arrive in the time indicated.
- Rudolf Steiner Bookstore is not responsible for the length of time an order takes to reach the customer once it’s shipped.
- Rudolf Steiner Bookstore is not responsible for orders lost in shipping.
- Returned orders, for whatever reason, will have only the book cost refunded, NOT the shipping.
INTERNATIONAL DROP SHIPMENTS
Drop Ship books that international customers order will be shipped from Rudolf Steiner Bookstore with the shipping method paid for by the customer.
- Books ordered that are indicated as drop shipments will take between 5-10 days to ship.
- Duties and Taxes, should there be any, will be paid by the customer upon arrival.
- There is NO GUARANTEE THAT YOUR ORDER WILL ARRIVE IN A TIMELY MANNER.

RETURNS POLICY If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will exchange it or refund your purchase price. To return items, please email us at [email protected] to arrange the return. Returns must be made within 14 days of delivery. Shipping costs are refunded only in the case of our error in shipping or if the item received is in damaged or defective condition.
