About the Author

THOMAS MEYER was born in Basel in 1950. After studies in German and English literature and philosophy, he worked as a Waldorf schoolteacher. In 1990, he founded Perseus Verlag Basel (see www.perseus.ch), and in 1997 the monthly Der Europäer, now appearing in English as The Present Age. Among his many books, Meyer has published biographies of Ludwig Polzer-Hoditz and D. N. Dunlop (Temple Lodge, London), and edited the book Light for the New Millennium, about Rudolf Steiner’s association with Helmuth von Moltke (Rudolf Steiner Press, London). Thomas Meyer lives with his family in Basel.
