About the Author

Andrew Lang (1844–1912) was a Scottish poet, novelist, anthropologist, historian, literary critic, and noted collector of folklore and fairy tales. Educated at the prestigious University of St. Andrews and Balliol College, Oxford, Lang became a published poet, editor, and journalist by the time he was thirty-one.
