Summer Nature Activities for Children
Summer Nature Activities for Children leads young ones on a stroll through the outdoor world in full bloom — and gives them real things to do once they get there. Irmgard Kutsch and Brigitte Walden gather a season’s worth of projects: growing and cooking with fresh herbs, caring for butterflies, working with grain and making bread, and a wealth of play centered on the four elements of water, fire, earth, and air.
What gives the book its authority is its origin. Every activity grew out of practical, daily work at the Children’s Nature and Garden Centre in Germany — fully tried and tested with real children, not merely imagined for the page. Stunning photographs and illustrations carry the inspiration, and the projects suit a family with its own garden as readily as one relying on a nearby park or open ground. One of a cherished four-book series following the turning year, Summer is a warm, practical companion for filling the long, light months with wonder and purpose.
About the Author
